About the Role

This role sits within adidas's Global Legal team in Corporate Services and offers a unique opportunity to experience the work of an in-house lawyer and gain insight into the day-to-day business of an international corporate legal department. Working alongside a team of experts, the postholder supports business leaders as a close partner in challenging legal matters and provides pragmatic legal advice. The position allows the successful candidate to apply their expertise, use their knowledge in practice and pursue their passion for sport.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the department in all legal matters of daily business operations, including cross-functional and exceptional tasks.
• Support strategic projects, providing clear and business-minded legal advice to business, function and project stakeholders.
• Conduct research activities in national and international contexts.
• Actively support and closely cooperate with other Global Legal team members.
• Liaise with local and global business leaders, local authorities, local Works Councils (adidas AG), Global Legal, local and global HR partners, and respective business areas as defined.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• First state examination in law.
• First legal clerk traineeship completed.
• Highly results-driven and self-motivated team player with compassion, integrity, reliability and perseverance.
• Able to accept and meet deadlines, with effective time management, a sense of priorities and agility.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a can-do mentality.
• Strong interpersonal skills combined with a high degree of customer orientation.
• Curious and growth mindset; keen to learn and approach subjects outside of comfort zone, looking beyond the obvious.
• Effective English and German presentation and communication skills.
• Good MS Office skills.

Preferred Skills

• First state examination result ideally fully satisfactory.
• Relevant professional experience, preferably in an international company or in an international law firm.
• Ideally applying for the second legal clerk traineeship/Wahlstation.
