Seniority

4 - 10 years of experience in commercial, compliance, or corporate law practice in Germany.

Work experience:

• Hands- on commercial contract work (SaaS agreements, DPAs, NDAs, AGB, licensing, commercial terms) as a core part of daily role.
• In- house legal experience at a startup or scale- up (e. g. N26, Sennder, Enpal, GetYourGuide, Personio, or similar German tech companies). Big law → in- house is ideal
• Mixed profile: big law training (e. g. Gleiss Lutz, Freshfields, Latham) plus in- house years at a growth- stage company
• Experience with compliance (GDPR/DSGVO, AI Act, or sector- specific regulatory) beyond just commercial contracts

Education

Volljurist or Wirtschaftsjurist (German- qualified lawyer: Staatsexamen, LL. B. , or LL. M. )

Prädikatsexamen, Fachanwalt für IT- Recht, or Dr. iur.

Hard skills

Native- level German legal drafting + professional English

Experience with contract automation, playbooks, CLM tooling, or template systems.

Soft skills

Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and ownership without institutional support structures
